Growing up as a perfectionist and the holy obedient child other parents pitted their own kids against against our consent, I realized being the person I wanted to be meant being disobedient.

Only when you stop relying on what others tell you you are, becoming blind, unable to speak, do you finally sit with yourself. Uncomfortable. Unholy. Only then, do you know what it feels like to be your Own.
